Today my inner travels take me to ancient times
The bible to be more exact (OH NO!)
But hey I’m driving
So put on your seat belts
Cause I can get a little reckless

Over the years I have spent a great deal of time
thinking about the who and whys of what we (people) are.

The bible often came into my thoughts
and as we all know it is not considered
a good/polite subject to bring up

Especially

If one's views are not of the traditional sense

But this is my diary and a chance to put my
untraditional opinion out there.

The bible in my humble opinion ...

Has many truths and at times inspired by God
But it is still written by man
Colored with individual perception
and manipulated over the centuries by
the church in it's quest for control

Which is why it may hold many interesting
tid bits that serve as food for thought…

(so does Uncle Remus but I don’t see anyone thumping and reciting him)

but the "Truth" is still found by looking
within and searching our feelings.

I guess the bible and our understanding of it
Is a large part of who we are

It is difficult to speak of the bible
And God not come up
Yet I try not to confuse the two
Cause you have to admit
While there is only one God
There are many different bibles
And as far as I know
(I’m NO bible scholar)

Only the 10 Commandants
were written in stone
and even they got smashed

BUT

Here are a few tid bits of my own
That I found popping up in my mind
Like bill boards along the highway of my mind

God used Adams rib in creating Eve
For this reason…
It was to be a reminder that we are connected
A part of one
But a rib was used specifically to tell us that
We are meant to stand (walk, work, sleep ect) Side By Side

Not one following the other

The Garden of Eden deal…

Was not the terrible punishment
It’s been made out to be

It was the first time free will was exercised

It separated us from all the other creatures

By giving us the gift of “Choice”

With Choice comes consequences
And responsibility
But
Where or what would we be with out it?

I now take a small break to munch on a bit of “lore”

Did you know that after Adam took a bite from that
Luscious fruit .. upon beginning to swallow He realized
What he had done and clasped his hands around his throat
To stop it from going down … getting it lodged and creating a lump …
And that’s why only men have Adam’s Apples ! J

I have to wonder …
could it be as well the reason most men ask the infamous question..
Do you swallow? Heh

She quickly jumps back into her vehicle and speeds off
Leaving behind the angry mob preparing the tar and feathers
As they shout BLASPHOMY !!!

Back to reading the bill boards…

The Tower of Babel

We were not punished for trying to reach heaven

What happened was this …

Being the big project it was
It took place over several generations
And there were many different specific groups
Assigned to different tasks
As people tend to do
Each group thought their contribution
Was more important …
Anyone could do what the others were doing
And so in passing the skills to the following generations
A secret language was formed
Over time distain and self-importance
Made them not even curious to the others language
That started being used more and more
What encouraged them to use this secret language
more and more
Each group caught up in their own importance
Decided they should be the first to reach the top
And be the first to “see” God
So different languages and lack of communication
Were devised by man himself in his quest
To deceive and cheat his fellow man

Heavy fog begins to set in so our site seeing tour
Of the bill boards in my mind have to be cut short
But it will be continued as soon as visibility improves

I recently read an online article called "Natural Order"
In it views were stated on how it was mans natural place to rule over women.
Women’s reason for being was only to serve and bring pleasure to men.

First I amuse myself with a little fantastical trip by imagining this guy on the dating game..

A voluptuous beauty dressed in tight black leather, a whip resting gently against the curve of her hip softly purrs…

“Contestant # 1…” (our boy being #1 of course)

“Describe to me the perfect woman..”

He without hesitation in his all knowing tone replies…

“ The perfect woman is one who lives to shine my shoes with her tongue.. naturally ”

Before she has a chance to whip up a reply…

The floor opens dropping him down a chute that sends him to a dimension where women use men for sexual sport (the game lasting only as long as the participants ability to perform) before devouring them and then uses their bones to build an ever growing intricate phallus shaped monument as a tribute of thanks for their gracious contribution ….

Upon landing and seeing the erection they’re erecting he mistakenly assumes he’s been sent to a land of coc* worship and immediately commands them to “Skip the fun and games and just eat me…”

As I return myself from that little mind jaunt I must admit…

I personally have no objection being a pleasure.
Since the pleasure sensors in the brain are the most addictive
And what we crave or are addicted to becomes the ultimate ruler ;)

But it also had some statements about beliefs, truths, and culture
somehow connecting the three...

I now travel within beyond my humble opinion as I seek to define …

"My Truth"
Truth is not created through culture or any outside force
It is felt within, a recognition of knowingness that is timeless
and as much a part of us as Creation is itself
For that was the moment of it's inception
Culture creates Politics (laws) and Religion ( traditions)
In an attempt to "bring order" and "give" the people belief and structure
It is mass CONTROL
To believe and follow blindly or not
Is Individual "CHOICE"
Something we all have
Something we all exercise
That's a Truth
We are all unique individuals
With our own set of beliefs and truths
It is not what we "Believe" that makes things so
It is what we "Know"
That creates individual truths
giving our lives structure and meaning
Making reality out of fantasy
And enabling the contributions of one
To affect millions
A belief is woven with
Threads of hope, dreams,
desires and wishes
It stirs the imagination
Awakening the creative force
Giving one moments
Where anything and everything seems possible
Creating enthusiasm,
a positive energy
that can move the masses to positive action
and indeed spark miracles
OR
It can induce self hatred and
The hatred of others
Creating fear
a dangerous energy
that can also affect the masses
igniting catastrophe
But
"Truth"
Is solid, never wavering
Like the knowledge
that the sun will rise and set
That is a Truth
We may question how it does so
But never ponder with any real conviction
whether or not it will
In individuals it is what develops
Character ValuesThe very structure of "Who" we are
The corner stone

What we "Know" ourselves to be
The best example I can think of in defining the difference between
belief and truth is the story of "The Little Engine Who Could"
It was his belief ( I think I can... I think I can)
That got him going
But his knowing (I know I can ... I know I can)
That gave him the strength to conquer
and move up and over that hill
And if that seems silly or too simple
How about ...
It was how Jesus walked on water
and
Moses parted the Red Sea
They simply "Knew" they could
and it made no difference
what the multitude "Believed"
For one Truth is stronger
then any countless number of Beliefs
And THAT
Is The Natural Order of things
